Cu Avana Intenso Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a very dark brown dry toothy wrapper with a firm even pck, small veins, tight seams, double cap and rich sweet chocolate and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good smoke output giving medium bodied flavors of a very sugary sweet tobacco on the draw with a creamy oiliness that lingers on the finish joined by a big spicy pepper zing. The first third completely washes out to a plain tobacco flavor with a short finish keeping just a tad of the pepper zing. The burn is pretty bad, needing a big touchup to correct an inch difference on one side. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the flavors remain very plain and one dimensional, while the draw is still snug and the burn needed another touchup. I end this at the hour mark about where the normal band point would be. The last third got very plugged giving a hard draw an almost a chemical taste, like a residue lingering. Thank you to viewer Dexter Kicks for generously sending this in for review!
