CAO Vision Catalyst Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a medium brown wrapper with some small veins, tight seams, a couple blemishes, triple cap, firm pack and sweet soapy aroma. First light reveals a surprising amount of flavors with near full body of smooth oily tobacco, pepper and a bit of a dry cotton mouth finish with a perfect draw and plentiful smoke output. The first third surprises with a core of creamy peppery tobacco and adds a slight meatiness for a savory bite, still keeping the long full finish. 20 minutes in starting the 2nd third, it almost goes out and I tapped the ash to see if it was tunneling, which it was not. Smoke production went way down as did flavors, just giving a plain mild hot tobacco taste and short finish. Just a few minutes later, whatever the internal problem was cleared up, and by the 1/2 way point it was completely back to normal on it’s own. Ending at 45 minutes with a good 1.5″ remaining, the last bit got very hot pretty fast so I ended it on a cooler note. No flavor shifts since the last update and great performance except for the blip in the middle Thank you very much to Dexter Hicks for sending this in for review!
