Oliva Cain Habano 550 Tubos Cigar Review

This 5.75×50 stick features an aluminum cedar lined tubo sealed with cork and foil with a screw off cap. The cigar has a dark brown very firm hard wrapper with a dry paper bag feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, foot band and faint wood aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, full bodied flavors of a strong and very smooth oily earth, deep in your chest smoke with a bit of pepper without the zing. The first third drops way down in body to mild-medium, with no strength kick at least yet. Flavors are savory almost meaty, oily smooth naturally sweet tobacco, all very smooth and rich. Draw and smoke output are both excellent as is the burn, although it is fast. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash had dropped off cleanly at the start of the 2nd third, flavors remained completely unchanged while strength had steadily built. At this point it’s a medium-full strength buzz, but still ok for me to handle. Ending at 55 minutes the last third held the exact same profile.
