Nestor Miranda Special Selection 20th Anniversary Danno Oscuro Cigar Review
This 7×56 stick features a very thin, smooth and oily dark brown wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a triple cap with a bit of flair and a faint barnyard aroma. First light reveals a slightly loose draw, good smoke output with a medium body of very soft smooth muted tobacco flavors that carry long in to the finish. The first third burns pretty loose, needing either very frequent draws or two puffs per draw to get normal smoke output. It is thus burning very warm, quite hot to the touch a couple inches below the burn line. Flavors are an interesting dry toast, with thick smoke and a grit you can feel on the smoke. The finish is long with a little tobacco and spice flavors popping. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the 2nd third showed a big change in construction, bringing a better draw and much better smoke output. Body is up to medium-full with much the same flavor profile, a very soft creamy textured toast and tobacco combo and a long finish. Ash held on nicely falling in a solid 1st third chunk. 55 minutes in the last third starts out by adding a good amount of strength giving me a buzz, and adding a warm slightly zingy cinnamon flavor on the draw. Ending at 1:10 the last bit showed no further changes. Thank you very much to Miami Cigar & Co for sending this for review!
