Falto Mentor Cigar Review
This 5.75×54 cigar features a dark brown, oily smooth wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large triple cap, firm pack and a faint hay aroma. First light reveals an excellent draw, minimal smoke output with near full bodied flavors of a smooth tangy tobacco with a long finish. The first third brings down the body just a bit, and the burn isn’t too great, needing a touchup by the start of the 2nd third 30 minutes in. Flavors remain unchanged, with a distinct musty overtone. 50 minutes in just past the 1/2 way point, flavors are back to normal, adding a nice caramel sweetness on the draw that quickly transitions to a faint licorice on the finish. One problem, the bottom band had a glob of glue that tore the wrapper when I removed it. Strength is slowly creeping at at this point, giving a slight buzz. Ending at 1:30 the last third needed another touchup and showed no further changes. Thank you to Falto Cigars for providing this for review!
