Alec Bradley Select Cabinet Reserve Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 cigar features a dark chocolate wrapper with a rough slightly toothy hard paper feel and firm pack. It has a triple cap, minimal veins, tight seams and a rich chocolate and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw and medium bodied flavors of a soft, silky smooth nut and leather combo, with a tobacco finish. The first third ramps up the body with a sweet leather, quickly fading to a short rather clean finish with plenty of rich smoke output and a good burn. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, the 2nd third also brought flavors of a cream and black pepper with a spicy finish, leaving a tingle and zing on my lips and tongue. The last third changes yet again to a big roasted nut and burnt caramel, with exceptional smoke output. I ended it at 40 minutes where it began to get very warm. Thank you very much to Tyson Hockstaff for sending this in for review, and a big shout out to the Sailors of VRC-30 in Japan!
