HVC 500 Aniversario Selectos Cigar Review – This 5 5/8×46 stick features a dark brown firmly packed yet light wrapper with a slightly oily, satin feel, triple cap and pungent sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a good draw with rich plentiful medium-full bodied thick smoke with a big black pepper blast and deep earth lingering through the long finish. The first third smokes fast but very well dropping a solid ash chunk, adding a dark caramel to the mix with the pepper mellowing a touch. By the end of the 2nd half the caramel had disappeared, just leaving a plain earthy and slightly pepper basic flavor profile, but construction is flawless. Ending at 55 min to the hot nub, there were no further changes.
