EPC Allegiance Sidekick Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a sharp box press, firm pack, toothy satin finish with a slight oil sheen, large double cap and sweet earthy aroma. First light reveals a very open draw with thick medium bodied notes of a slightly sweet cedar and smooth earth with a zing and tiny pepper buildup on the finish. The first third goes to a deeper but still smooth sweet earth with more pepper bite and an oily spice on the lips. The 1/2 way point comes at a quick 25 minutes still with flawless construction, adding a robust coffee note to the mix especially on the now long finish. Ending at 50 minutes to the nub, the last third dropped the cedar, going to a coffee and light earth core with a slight vanilla on the finish, also dropping the pepper and spice.
