J.C. Newman El Baton Belicoso Cigar Review – This 5.56 stick features a dark chocolate red hued wrapper with a firm even pack, oily velvet feel and rich coco and sweet tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick rich medium-full smoke with heavy notes of black coffee, cocoa and a long finish turning to a pepper and earth to the next draw. The first third continues the flawless performance with a slow burn, near full body and the pepper mellowing a bit. The 1/2 way point comes at 50 minutes with a solid ash holding on and the same performance. Ending at 1:45 the last third dropped all the pepper continuing the smooth rich notes all the way to the nub.
