My Father Cedros Deluxe Cervantes Cigar Review – This 6.5×44 stick features a dark chocolate, thick oily wrapper with a butter soft feel, triple cap and rich raisin and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium-full bodied smoke showing a thick, rich smoke with flavors of a deep smooth earth, slightly bitter cocoa and a dustiness, all of which carry through on the long finish which adds a pepper zing and slight spicy heat. The first third comes down to a solid medium body, with a silky smooth smoke and aged tobacco texture. The earth dies down a touch with a bit of oak joining in. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 40 minutes dropping short but solid chunks of ash. Flavors are largely the same at this point, just dialing down the pepper and spice on the end. The last third comes down to mild-medium keeping the same complex notes to the nub at 1:30 in.
