A. Flores Connecticut Valley Reserve Azul Churchill Cigar Review – This dark brown, firmly packed wrapper has a triple cap, smooth buttery feel and potent pepper and raisin aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with thick medium bodied smoke showing a very dry, parched mouthfeel with notes of a deep oak and pepper without the zing and texture. The first third sticks with perfect construction and medium body but totally shifting flavors to a sweet nougat, vanilla and smooth nuttiness. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 45 minutes amping up the creaminess both in flavor and texture, while the pepper notes rejoin just on the tail of the finish. Ending at 1:30 the last third tempered down the sweet vanilla, keeping the smoothness, cream and nuttiness adding a touch of light coffee, all through the now smooth finish without any pepper again.
