Fernando León Legacy Lancero Cigar Review – This 6 7/8×40 stick features a dry, dark chocolate mottled wrapper under a huge cedar sleeve and foot band, with a pigtail cap and pungent musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick mild-medium bodied notes of a dark smooth cedar with a building pepper and spice without most of the texture, through the short finish. The first third burns perfectly bringing body up to a medium with a now long full finish with the pepper dominating. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with flavors shifting to a dusty dry cocoa, slight leather and the pepper getting very smooth, still on a long finish. Ending at 1:10 the last third shifts to a zingy caramel and cinnamon with just a touch of the leftover pepper on the tail of the finish with a bit of strength at the very end.
