Blackbird Rook Gran Toro Cigar Review – This 6×54 stick features a thick, satin finished dark chocolate wrapper with a firm pack, a few surface veins, large double cap and rich straight tobacco aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with thick chewy full bodied smoke showing a heavy earth that goes to a leather on the long finish with a building black pepper twang. The first third quickly shifts to a medium-full brighter leather and sweet graham cracker, with the pepper half as intense as before. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with notes mainly the same, just the sweetness shifting to a vanilla especially on the finish. Ending at 1:05 the last third showed no further changes.
