Diamond Crown Maximus #2 Churchill Cigar Review – This 7×50 stick features a dark cocoa mottled wrapper with a very oily and toothy thick wrapper, large double cap and pungent musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with thick plumes of medium-full bodied smoke with rich buttery smooth notes of a dark roast coffee and cocoa, with an oily cayenne joining on the long finish. The first third continues the perfect construction holding the same rich flavors with a solid ash chunk and razor sharp burn. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with no changes. Ending at a long 1:50 the last third burned slower, dropped the cayenne but kept all the smooth robust notes shifting to a darker cocoa to the nub.
