La Sirena Mexican Mermaid Toro Cigar Review – This 5.75×54 stick features a dark chocolate, firmly packed, fairly oily smooth wrapper with a double cap and musty peppery cocoa aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with plentiful, thick rich medium-full bodied smoke showing a complex sweet coca, leather, pepper and building oily spice on the long finish with a burning retro. The first third burns perfectly and slowly, with the sweet leather dominating the smooth draw while the spice mellows out through the still long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with notes unchanged. Ending at 1:20 the body slides down to a medium, no strength while flavors shift from the leather to a mellow milk chocolate and fruity sweetness while the finish drops all the pepper and spice.
