Hiram & Solomon Curamus Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a dark chocolate mottled firm, oily, butter soft wrapper with a light pack, triple cap and musty sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with generous thick, rich medium-full bodied smoke showing a complex blend of sweetness, dry cocoa, light earth, citrus and a building spicy heat with oil on the lips through the long finish. The first third quickly shifts to a spicy, sweet gingerbread and leather, with the same heat building on the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes still smoking perfectly. Notes shift slightly to a leather, light earth and pepper with the spice dying down on the long finish. Ending at 1:30 the last third slowed WAY down, with just a minor shift in flavors to a deeper earth, slight dark cocoa and nuttiness and just a touch of pepper joining the finish.
