La Gloria Cubana Criollo de Oro Toro Cigar Review – This 5 3/8×54 stick features a firmly packed, very dry toothy wrapper with a triple cap and pungent sweet musty peanut aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good smoke production with full bodied flavor of a smooth zingy wood core and big building black pepper and heat through the long finish. The first third builds in complexity with a sweet vanilla, bright leather and deep wood core with the big pepper and heat building through the now medium-full finish. Burn is slow but warm a couple inches down from the cherry. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes dropping a solid ash with body down to a medium still with a long finish. The vanilla drops but keeps the sweetness now with a citrus zing joining. The finish is still pepper and spice but smoother and less heat. Ending at 1:10 the last third keeps the same complexity but adds a full strength building up past the band.
