I first reviewed this over 4 years ago and got a dud, this is a 2nd try. Gran Habano No. 5 Corojo Maduro Imperial Cigar Review – This 6×60 stick features a dense, oily dark cocoa wrapper with triple cap and pungent musty hay and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium bodied smoke showing notes of a sweet light earth and bakers spice with a touch of pepper flavors on the tail of the long finish. The first third adds an apricot and yeasty bread to the mix with very foody flavors overall. The little pepper is gone with a quite smooth experience overall. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with a solid ash and perfect construction, keeping the same flavors with the addition of a vanilla to the mix. Ending at 1:15 to the nub the last third dropped the vanilla and fruit note shifting to a deeper but still sweet earth and a meaty bite on the finish.
