Saint Luis Rey Carenas Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a dark brown golden hued wrapper with a dense, firm pack, finely toothed slightly oily feel, large double cap and peppery sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with full bodied thick rich smoke with notes of deep leather, building pepper and cayenne spice with a long finish and zingy retrohale. The first third comes down to medium-full with flavors of a fleeting sweet graham cracker, still the deep leather and the pepper almost gone. The spice comes on late on the finish and construction is great. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with the same flavors and just the body down to medium. The last third ends at 1:10 with flavors the same and just a hint of strength at the nub.
