Don Carlos Edicion de Aniversario 2015 Cigar Review – This 5.7×52 stick features a firmly packed, thick oily dark cocoa wrapper with a fine tooth, triple cap and faint peppery cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with near full bodied rich smooth smoke with notes of a deep smooth earth, slight vanilla and dark roast coffee through the long finish. The first third adds a caramel to the mix with everything remaining complex. Draw is excellent, burn is a little wavy but it’s smoking slowly. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with notes getting even more complex, adding a leather to the draw with the caramel joining the pepper and coffee on the long finish. Ending at 1:25 the last third burned slow and perfectly, with all body, no strength keeping the complex blend to the nub.
