Drew Estate Liga Privada Ünico Serie Year of the Ox Cigar Review – This 6×54 limited release features a dark chocolate firmly packed wrapper with oily slight tooth, triple cap and sweet cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect dra with plumes of thick rich full bodied smoke showing a camp fireesque note with a dark cocoa and something like a plumb mixed in, all with a long finish adding just a touch of pepper texture. The first third comes down a tick to medium-full with a shorter finish keeping the silky smooth thick smoke, with draw notes a light earth, cocoa and an oily slickness. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with notes largely the same but the earth getting deeper especially through the finish and a deep wood joining the end. Ending at 1:20 the last third continued to slow the burn with notes dropping the campfire, shifting to an ultra smooth dark cocoa and deep earth, with a touch of oak and cinnamon on the finish.
