Padilla 1932 Lancero Cigar Review – This 6 7/8×42 stick features a dark chocolate oily, rock hard wrapper with a slight tooth, triple pigtailed cap and faint musty hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of thick rich medium-full bodied smoke showing a sweet, creamy leather, cinnamon and metallic zing that carries through the long finish. The first third mellows a touch to medium body with notes shifting to a slight leather, vanilla and light caramel with a cedar lasting through the finish joined by a slight pepper and oily heat. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with flavors changing yet again. The leather is still there but deeper, joined by a sweet creamy yeasty bread note all of which carries through the long finish with again the slight oily heat. Ending at 1:20 the last third burns perfectly with notes unchanged.
