La Aurora 115th Anniversary Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a firm but lightly packed dark chocolate wrapper with slightly oily paper bag texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich musty sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a completely open draw with rich plentiful medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a zesty, dry wood with a building pepper and spice that carries through the finish. The first third brings in a caramel, mellows the wood out and shifts to a subtle leather with the pepper and spice still building through the finish but not as intense. The 1/2 way point comes at 25 minutes with no changes. The last third swaps the leather for a subtle cocoa dropping some of the caramel on the draw, ending at 50 min to the hot nub.
