Nene By Gota Miyamoto Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a dark brown slightly soft but evenly packed lumpy wrapper with an oily butter soft texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large triple cap and a leathery raisin aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful, thick chewy full bodied smoke showing a zingy mineral and woody earth through a long full finish adding a touch of pepper bit on the tongue. The first third quickly drops to a medium body holding the same notes just at a lower level. Still with a long finish though and the smoke quality is very slick and smooth like a Davidoff. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with perfect construction. The body is still medium but the smoke is back to hick and rich with a total shift in notes. The draw is a naturally sweet wood and bakers spice, that carries over to the long finish just adding the touch of pepper back. Ending at 1 hour the last third burns perfectly with flavors going to a medium body with vanilla, yeasty bread and soft leather all through the long finish.
