2012 by Oscar Connecticut Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 box pressed stick features a glove soft light tan wrapper with a sharp press, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and faint floral aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of light airy smoke showing notes of a sweet grass, custard and slight earth on the long finish. The first third quickly shifts to a smooth sweet creamy hazelnut with a dry woodiness through the long finish. Construction is flawless with the body up to medium. The 1/2 way point hits at 35 minutes dropping a solid ash with perfect burn. Flavors are up to medium-full showing a hint of the nuttiness and a big creamy sweet cocoa with coffee going in to the woody finish. The last third wraps up 1:10 in with flavors changing again to a cocoa and cinnamon on the draw with the coffee coming in late and replacing the wood through the long finish.
