EP Carrillo Pledge Sojourn Cigar Review – This 6×52 box pressed stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a firm dense pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, slightly toothy oily feel and faint sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick medium-full bodied chewy smoke showing notes of a rich sweet chocolate, deep earth and growing pepper through the long finish with a tingling bite. The first third grows in complexity bringing a caramel to the draw mixing with the rest of the flavors while the pepper zing builds on the long smooth finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with flawless burn, mellowing the pepper and earth a bit adding a smooth leather to the tail of the draw. Ending at 1:35 the last third shifts to a citrus and leather with the pepper and cocoa coming at the end of the draw through the finish and an almost matching strength rush hits from the last inch.
