Southern Draw Jacobs Ladder Brimstone Presidente Cigar Review – This 9×48 stick is the latest addition to the line featuring a dark cocoa smooth satin firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, double cap and rich musty cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, quite impressive for such a size. Flavors are full bodied with a meaty deep earth, cuban like zing and bold pepper through the long finish. The first third stays full bodied adding a slight metallic zing to the earth with the pepper mellowing just a touch. Burn is perfect but the ash very short. 55 minutes at the 1/2 way point flavors shifted to a dusty musty cocoa with a lighter earth and just hint of pepper through the finish. Construction is flawless and ash is holding longer as it burns down. Ending at 1:50 the last third held the same flavors till just before the nub.
