J.C. Newman Yagua Cigar Review – This uniquely shaped 6×54 stick features a dark brown oddly shaped bundle pressed wrapper with a very oily buttery smooth finish, minimal veins, raised visible seams, triple cap and rich cedar and hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw that needed correction putting out medium bodied notes of a deep earth, slight cherry, and decent pepper kick on the finish. The first third picks up to a medium-full showing a apricot sweetness, smooth deep leather and vanilla on the draw with just a hint of pepper through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with no flavor changes. Ending at 1:10 minutes the last third hot hot and squishy, for the most part keeping the consistent profile just dropping the sweetness.
