Cohiba Talisman Edicion Limitada 2017 Cigar Review – This $100 6 1/8×54 stick features rare tobacco in a dark brown slightly soft but evenly packed wrapper with a buttery soft feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple pigtailed cap and very rich cedar humidor like aroma. First light reveals a bit of a snug draw with good medium bodied smoke showing a dry walnut like core and a grassy taste joining through the long finish. The first third opens the draw to normal, still producing good smoke with a nice slow burn. Body is still medium while flavors are more complex with a straight nutty core joined by a big smooth creaminess, touch of leather and a bit of mineral going in to the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with perfect construction, shifting to a mild-medium body with notes of a slightly sweet creamy cedar both on the draw and long finish. Ending at 1:45 the last third burned very slowly with perfect construction and plentiful medium bodied smoke. Flavors shifted again to a smooth deep earth followed by a sweet caramel through the finish. This video is sponsored by Montefortuna Cigars.
