Rocky Patel Renaissance Maduro Churchill Cigar Review – This 7×48 stick features a dark chocolate oily wrapper with a light tooth, soft even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and must cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with rich plentiful medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of a deep zesty earth, slightly sweet raisin and spicy pepper through the long finish. The first third carries most of the same experience but adding a milk chocolate to the draw and killing most of the pepper and spice on the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 45 minutes with notes staying the same but a bit of strength creeping in. Burn is sharp but needed periodic relights. Ending at 1:20 the last third needed the same relights, pushed up the strength, dropped more of the pepper and spice, adding a warm leather to the mix.
