Black Label Trading Co. Limited Edition Last Rites Viaticum Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×54 box pressed stick features an almost black sharply pressed firmly packed wrapper with an oily satin feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent barnyard aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of thick rich medium-full bodied dark cocoa and black coffee notes with a long full finish of the same. The first third shifts to a tiny bit sweeter cocoa, adding a black licorice to the draw and a zingy pepper kick on the retrohale. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes the draw flavors go deeper with an again darker cocoa, the coffee subsides and a meatiness comes on through the finish with a spicy retro much like prime rib and horseradish sauce. Ending at 1:05 the last third hit with a huge room spinning, hair sweating strength kick at the band, keeping the flavors intact.
