Micallef Connecticut Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a dark tan, dry, soft textured, firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and very pungent sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke of a bright sweet wood with quite a metallic texture and slight pepper & spice through the short finish. The first third drops the little sweet in favor of a pepper to go with the woodiness of the draw while the finish grows longer. Body is down to a medium and the texture a bit smoother. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes back up to a medium-full body with the pepper and spice coming way up even through the draw, with a yeasty bread coming and going. Ending at 1:20 the last third is back to medium body with just a slight strength kick. Flavors are a heavier wood and light earth with the pepper and spice gone.
