Stallone Castano San Andres Cigar Review – This approximately 6×54 stick is part of a multi-wrapper Cowboy Series, featuring a dark brown slightly soft, evenly packed wrapper, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and faint sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of thick rich near full bodied smoke showing notes of a sweet leather with red bell pepper on the long finish and growing spice. The first third burns perfectly and slowly, adding notes of a pepper and meatiness with umami on the draw, with a building oily spice through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with flavor going to a mild almost flavorless airy whisp, even after 2 relights to try and correct the cherry. The last third burned normally again, picking back up to medium-full with all the same flavors plus a cocoa and the oily spice dropping down, ending just over an hour.
