Micallef Leyenda Special Edition Cigar Review – This 6×54 stick features a dark brown firmly packed dry satin wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, small triple cap and faint cedar aroma. First light reveals a good draw with light airy smoke showing medium bodied notes of a burned caramel, earth and touch of pepper on the long finish. The first third quickly wakes up to a medium-full body showing a rich, thick, zingy citrus, sweet earth and bright pepper with an oily spice on the lips. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash falls off in a solid chunk while flavors are largely unchanged, with just the addition of a slight coffee note. Ending at 1:20 the last third went even heavier, dropping the citrus and caramel to just a minty earth with a long full finish and strength kick right at the nub.
