Southern Draw Cedrus Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a dark brown, toothy oily wrapper with a soft box press, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick rich medium-full bodied smoke with a heavy mouthfeel and notes of sweet leather, spicy wood, red pepper and a zingy earth and black pepper building on the long finish. The first third comes down just a tick to a medium body keeping the complex notes. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, flavors change to a semi-sweet cocoa and coffee on the draw, going in to the finish with a softer pepper note. Burn is perfect dropping a solid ash chunk. Ending at 1:15 the last third builds on the complexity adding back the leather plus a citrus note on the draw, with the finish going very smooth and sweet.
