The American By J.C. Newman Robusto Cigar Review – This 4.5×50 stick features a dark chocolate very firmly packed thick toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent, sweet campfire aroma.  First light reveals a snug draw but good medium bodied smoke production showing notes of a musty grassy sweet earth and a short clean finish.  The first third required a PerfecDraw correction due to a stem and tight roll.  After that flavors opened up to a sweet baking spice, musty earth and chocolate, keeping the slight grassy FSG note and a long deep heavy earth finish.  The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with a slow burn and perfect construction, holding the same notes. Ending at an hour the last third went to a smooth chocolate and earth with a razor sharp burn.
