Marrero Artistico Salomon Cigar Review – This 7×62 stick is meticulously hand crafted by a single roller in the Marrero factory. The box is filled with different designs and no two are alike, with themed series coming out regularly. It is a tapered size from upper 40’s to 62 rg with a light pack, slightly oily thin main wrapper of course with much of it in maduro as part of the artwork. The foot is almost closed, it Haas minimal veins, tight visible seams where applicable and a potent cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium bodied notes of a zingy peppery earth and sweet natural tobacco with a bit of cayenne on the tail of the long finish. The first third shifts to a thick creamy vanilla with just a hint of the plain tobacco on the draw with a light earth on the finish. The pepper is now smooth with no texture and the spice almost gone. The 1/2 way point comes in the middle of the design showing a creamy smooth leather with all the zing and texture falling off along with a solid ash chunk. Body is still medium with no strength. The last third drops the cream and goes to a deeper sweet earth with a warm nutty finish, ending at 1:10.
