Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Gordo Cigar Review – This 6.5×60 box pressed stick features a silky butter smooth brown wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, closed foot, triple cap and sweet plumb and nut aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium bodied smoke of a dry slightly sweet nuttiness with a pepper and spice coming through the long finish of the same. The first third mellows to a mild-medium body keeping the smoothness with the sweetness going to a slight fruit but I can’t discern what yet. The nuttiness dominates what flavor is there and the finish dials back the pepper a good bit. 35 minutes at the 1/2 way point construction is flawless, draw is perfect and flavors are mostly the same. The sweetness shifts to a soapiness with the pepper fading off the finish. Ending at 1:15 the last third held the same profile but slowed the burntime, keeping the flawless construction.
