La Palina No. 2 Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×52 stick features a very dark chocolate oily firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a large double cap and pungent soapy hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium-full bodied flavors of a soft smooth woodiness with a pepper and spice building on the long finish. The first third keeps the same rich flavors with a slow but wonky and hot burn. Smoke output and draw are great however. The 1/2 way point comes at 45 minutes with flavors going to a rich dark cocoa and slight pepper. The burn needed a big touchup but is now performing much better. Ending at 1:10 the last third burned better just needing a small touchup. Body remained near full with no strength with flavors going to a deep earth and just a touch of the cocoa left.
