Mombacho Liga Maestro Novillo Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a firmly packed dry, slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and pungent cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium-full bodied flavors of vanilla, dusty light earth and nuts with a hint of pepper on the tail end of the long finish. The first third drops the vanilla, comes down to a medium body and the finish stays long with a smooth slick texture. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes dropping the ash in solid chunks with perfect construction and no flavor shifts. Ending at 1:05 minutes the last third dropped the earth just going to a smooth warn roasted nut all the way through the long finish with a medium strength building up from the band point, matching the body.
