Leaf by Oscar Maduro Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 stick features a dark chocolate firmly packed wrapper with a gritty tooth, dusty sandy oily texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and smokey sweet wood aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with very plentiful smoke output showing mild bodied flavors of a natural maduro sweetness and slight wood note with a short clean finish. The first third burns fast upping the body to mild-medium with the same profile but a longer finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes slowing the burn slightly and flavors up to a medium body getting a bit more complex, adding a dry earth and slight cocoa to the sweetness and wood notes, which carry on through the now fuller finish. Ending at 55 minutes the last third ramped up the cocoa to be the dominate flavor adding a sweet pepper that turns a bit spicy on the long finish. Body is still a soft medium, no strength.
