La Rosa de Sandiego Habano Toro Gordo Cigar Review – This 6×54 stick features a dusty dark brown butter soft wrapper with a light but firm even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and rich sweet cocoa and cedar aroma First light reveals a slightly snug draw with great thick smoke output of medium bodied flavors showing just a smooth bitter straight tobacco with a long finish of the same. The first third quickly drops the bitter and flavors shift to a plain sweet coffee followed by a mild black pepper tingle on the finish. Burn is a bit wavy but the draw opened to normal. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash drops in a solid chunk, the draw is still perfect with huge clouds of smoke. The sweetness slowly drops off leaving a rich black coffee note. Ending at 1:10 the last third kicks up the strength to a matching medium at the band point with the addition of a dark caramel.
