JNV Habano Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×52 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with a slightly toothy oily paper bag texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and pungent woody coffee aroma. First light reveals a fairly snug draw with minimal mild-medium smoke showing flavors of smooth deep sweet wood with a touch of pepper on the tail of the finish. The first third quickly opens up the draw producing a lot more medium bodied smoke with the same profile and long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 25 minutes the 2nd third drops the ash in a solid chunk while flavors change to a light roast coffee adding to the draw and a slight spice joining the growing pepper on the finish. Ending at 55 minutes the last third remained the same to the nub.
