Padron Anniversary 1926 No. 47 TAA Natural Cigar Review – This 5.5×50 box pressed stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a slightly soft even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, single cap, oily satin feel and a damp musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with rich thick plentiful full bodied smoke showing a flavor bonanza of a cream, sweet oily earth, zingy wood, cocoa at the start that fades in to a zesty pepper and spice on the long finish. The first third burns very slowly with perfect construction. Flavors remain highly complex with just the intensity of the pepper and spice coming down a notch. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the 2nd third moves down to a medium body with perfect burn and a 1/3 solid ash. Flavors are a very well balanced slight sweet cream, coffee, cocoa and just a hint now of pepper and spice on the mellowing finish. Ending at 1:05 the last third ramped up the strength at the band point, matching the body at medium-full. Flavors remain very complex with flawless construction.
