La Palina Nicaragua Oscuro Toro Cigar Review – This 6×50 stick features a dark brown oily firmly packed wrapper with a slight tooth, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich peppery sweet earth aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful thick medium bodied smoke showing a sweet chocolate, dry dusty cocoa and earth going in to the finish. The first third burns well with good smoke with flavors shifting to a very dry musty cocoa on the draw quickly joined by a deep smooth earth through the long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the 2nd third just drops the mustiness keeping the rest of the profile unchanged. Ash holds over an inch at time and burn is razor sharp. Ending at 1 hour the last third kept the same flavor profile just adding a touch of strength at the end.
