H. Upmann By AJ Fernandez Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a dark brown glove soft firmly packed oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent honey and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful thick medium-full bodied smoke showing a zingy metallic wood and sweet pepper on a short finish. The first third burns perfectly settling to a medium body with the notes going to a cream, slight sweetness, soft wood with a light silky earth finish dropping almost all the pepper and zing. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the 2nd third swaps the woodiness for a good bit of sweet earth on the draw, lasting all the way through the long finish. Ending at 1 hour the last third brings in a strength punch matching the body, which shifts to a earth dominant flavor and a bit of pepper returning on the end of the finish, dropping the cream and sweetness.
