Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barberpole Cigar Review – This 6×50 stick features a dual wrapper construction with alternating strips spiraled around the binder with maduro and candella leaf. It shows minimal veins, tight seams, large double cap, a soft silky firm feel and pungent sweet cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a good draw with mild-medium bodied flavors of a grassy sweetness, creamy milk chocolate with a short clean smooth finish of the same. The first third burns a bit wonky but comes up to a medium body with good smoke output. Flavors go to a peppery deep smooth earth with no bite, lasting through the now long finish. The half way point comes at 40 minutes with excellent construction dropping the ash in a solid chunk. Flavors transition again to a strong cocoa and plum sweetness in the background, with a long smooth finish. Ending at 1:10 the last third flavors went to a smooth earth and citrus twang with a medium strength kicking in. Construction was flawless dropping another solid ash at the nub.
