HVC First Selection Toro Gordo Cigar Review – This 6×56 stick features a dark tan firmly but lightly packed wrapper with a soft oily feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and musty earth aroma.  First light reveals a good draw with medium bodied flavors of just a dry slightly bitter wood on both the draw and short finish.  The first third drops the bitterness just going neutral with the slick woody core and a good bit of pepper and spice on the now long finish.  Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes, the pepper bite is dialed down a notch, otherwise things are unchanged.  Construction is excellent with plentiful smoke output and a razor sharp burn.  Ending at 1 hour the last third showed no further changes.
