E.P. Carrilli Dusk Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features an almost black firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, light pack, slightly oily toothy satin feel and a honey hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good medium-full bodied smoke production showing flavors of a zesty light earth, deep wood with a pepper and spice kick on the draw followed by the earth going deeper through the long zingy finish. The first third burns well with a razor sharp line but on the fast side, holding an inch of ash. Flavors are dominated by a deep earth and pepper with a hint of sweetness on the draw followed by a long finish that adds the spice in. The 1/2 way point comes at 25 min with perfect performance and no flavor changes. Ending at 1 hour the last third dials down the pepper and spice going to a sweet deep earth throughout with a musty finish while adding a mild-medium strength kick and slowing the burn.
