D’Crossier Diplomacy Series Presidential Collection Robusto Cigar Review – This 4.8×50 stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a firm light pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a faint cedar aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with copious amounts of medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of a rich thick slightly sweet wood with a hint of pepper though the long smooth finish. The first third settles at a medium body with flavors that develop to a sweetness going towards licorice, the soft woodiness and pepper flavor on the draw with just the tingle left through the long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes it required a relight with the wrapper just not wanting to stay lit after the first ash chunk dropped. Flavors have gone to a deep earthy core with a bit of black coffee, dropping the sweetness and pepper. Ending at 50 minutes the last third continues the burn problems and goes to a plain damp earth.
